Establish Quebec as a top of mind destination for the GLBT community as a place for fun, travel, weddings.

DQMPR Roadmap/Strategy:

  • Target US travel and GLBT related media in the North East, and commence a proactive outreach, highlighting the numerous gay venues, events, resources that cater to the GLBT community in Quebec.

  • Host targeted media to discover the Montreal and Quebec City Gay scene.

Results:

  • Persuaded members of the press to participate in guided visit of Quebec gay scene.

  • DQMPR secured editorial features about Quebec's gay scene in major media outlets (The Advocate, Out Traveler Magazine, The Philadelphia Gay News, Passport Magazine, Next, HX, Gay City News).

  • Obtained TV coverage on Logo (30 minute special).
