Florentina Florescu, a Trade Specialist, focuses on the US leisure market establishing key alliances with tour operators, major travel agencies, ski clubs; developing and conducting educational seminars to strengthen travel agents’ knowledge of DQMPR’s clients; as well as implementing sales and promotional initiatives to target niche markets. She also participates in major regional and national travel trade shows and exhibitions, such as ABA , RSAA, NTA and the New York Times Travel Show.

Ms. Florescu worked for GOGO Worldwide Vacations for over five years in three different positions: starting as a Travel Consultant, her hard work and drive for a challenge quickly moved her up to Competitive Intelligence Analyst, until she was later promoted to Product Analyst in the US West, Hawaii and Tahiti Department.

In 2007, she earned her Master of Science degree in Tourism and Travel Management at the Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management at New York University. Prior to her studies at New York University, she completed her undergraduate degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the Academy of Economic Studies Bucharest Romania in 1997. In addition to her education, language skills (English, Romanian, Spanish and French) and travel experience, she brings over 13 years of travel industry experience working in hotels, travel agencies and tour operations located in the USA, Caribbean and throughout Europe.

For Ms. Florescu, travel is not just a career: it is a life-long passion. This is evident in her participation in many travel industry volunteer activities. Examples are Tourism Cares for Tomorrow Mississippi Coast (2006), Smithsonian Folk life Festival Washington DC 2006 and Tourism Cares for Tomorrow Virginia City -Nevada (2007). She is also a proud and active member of the 41-74 Club of New York - the Premiere Association for Professional Women in Travel
