Lois Gerber

Lois Gerber' s career in the tourism industry has spanned three decades, the last 17 on the public relations side. She was media relations manager for Canada Tourism in New York for 13 years (1986 - 1999) where she created Canada's Media Marketplace and the Northern Lights Awards which are the ongoing benchmark activities of the Canadian Tourism Commission's media program in the US and Canada. 

A long-time member of both TMAC and SATW, Lois was nominated to the prestigious Marco Polo lifetime membership of SATW. She Chaired the 2004 SATW St. Moritz and was Vice-Chair of the 2007 Manchester Conventions, as well as Quito, Ecuador in 1995.

Other: Prior to 1986 Lois worked in the tourism industry as an inbound receptive operator, outbound group organizer, retail travel agent, wholesaler and meetings, conventions and incentive designer.
