Katie Papadopoulos - Associate Vice President


A graduate of American University in Washington DC, Katie earned her Bachelor's Degree in International Relations with a focus on International Communications and Western Europe. She has held marketing and public relations positions with the Greek Embassy's Press Office and the Wall Street Journal Europe in Brussels, Belgium. Growing up in a Greek-American household, Katie has always held a deep passion for travel and international cultures. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe and is fluent in Greek and has an excellent working knowledge of French.


After joining DQMPR in 2012, Katie promoted American visitation to Québec in the travel trade industry. Since then, her role has expanded to include managing the public relations activities for Classic Escapes, CroisiEurope, St. Barth Properties, Specialist Journeys and the Emilia Romagna Tourism Board.

Through her strong media contacts, Katie has coordinated media visits and placed stories in notable publications including Robb Report, Conde Nast Traveler, Forbes Life, Travel + Leisure, USA Today, Boston Globe, Washington Post, New York Times, Toronto Sun, The Daily Meal, JustLuxe.com, Gothamist, USNews.com and CNN.com, to name a few. She oversaw the launch of CroisiEurope in the North American market, a campaign that generated publicity in major US newspapers, consumer and travel trade magazines almost exclusively through press release distribution and pitching.

Notable Results:

  • Coordinated media recruitment for press trips to Emilia Romagna, resulting in feature stories in Conde Nast Traveler, Maxim, The Daily Meal and the Toronto Sun to name a few;

  • Following Hurricane Irma in September 2017, managed company’s media response as St. Barth Properties’ villas returned to the rental market. Company statements and updates appeared in the Associated Press, Caribbean Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, Houston Chronicle, San Francisco Chronicle and more;

  • Secured CroisiEurope media coverage for announcement of first cruise ship offering overnight cruises on the Loire River in USA Today (print and online), New York Times (print and online), Cruise Critic, Travel Weekly and Travel Pulse, among others;

  • Assisted with the itinerary, filming logistics and promotion of two 30-minute episodes of PBS's Real Food as well as an episode of HGTV's House Hunters International in Brussels and a Good Morning America segment in Brussels;
