Paul Shio - Account Director
Paul has a bachelor degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Computer Science with minor in Business Administration. He has taken several finance and business focused classes at New York University and New York Institute of Finance.
Paul has worked at DQMPR for over 10 years. He has worked on press releases, pitches, coordinated press trips, events management (VEMEX / media events), social media campaigns on twitter/Instagram, MICE and marketing proposals.
He has developed strong media relationships with journalists including:
New York Daily News - While Pitching "Winter Madness in Québec" he coordinated a custom press trip to Québec City and Charlevoix with skiing Le Massif with the Travel Features Editor at NY Daily News, resulted in a published features article in the NY Daily News;
Condé Nast Traveler - While Pitching the "Finnair A350 Onboard Shopping Experience", resulted in correspondences with the Senior Features Editor at Condé Nast Traveler, working on a features article with Experiences on the Finnair A350.
Prior to working for DQMPR, Paul worked for several Wall Street investment banking firms including Credit Suisse, SE Banken and Bank of Tokyo/Mitsubishi with experiences in MICE. Over the years, he has developed expertise in business, leverage finance products, budgeting and technology, working closely with hedge funds.
Paul has travel all over the world with extensive travels in Europe and Asia. One of his favorite trips was to South Africa where he thoroughly enjoyed his visits to Cape Town, private guided tour of Franschhoek/Stellenbosch and an amazing Safari stay at Phinda. Paul enjoys cycling and photography. Paul appeared on broadway at the age of 9 in "The King and I" as a prince. He was born in China, outside of Shanghai and he is fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and basic understanding of French.
